MPH Program Description

MPH Degree Requirements

The MPH program is a 48-credit curriculum. In addition to the five (5) core courses found in every public health program (public health systems, epidemiology, environmental health, biostatistics, and social and behavioral health), the program requires six (6) additional courses for all students (administration, economics, policy, ethics, field study, and integrating seminar).  Students must also complete five (5) elective courses of their choosing.

During the field study experience, the student is expected to apply the theory and practice of public health to a particular area of student interest.  In the final course in the curriculum (Integrating Seminar), students are brought together to work on a particular public health problem for a public health organization.
