Scholarships
The NATA. EATA (Eastern Athletic Trainers’ Association), and NHATA (NH Athletic Trainers’ Association) present scholarships annually to qualified and deserving students. Students are nominated for EATA and NHATA Scholarships by Certified Athletic Trainers. Students interested in pursuing these scholarships should contact an athletic trainer and request they nominate them for these awards. NATA Scholarship applications are initiated by the student using the following procedures:
The NATA Research and Education Foundation provides at least 50 scholarships annually, each for $2,000. There are three scholarship categories for which eligible members may apply:
A. Undergraduate (following student’s sophomore year)
- Masters (following the fall semester of the final year of undergraduate education or have earned an undergraduate degree)
- Doctoral
The following are basic requirements for eligibility:
- Minimum of 3.2 GPA (based on a 4.0 scale) on all collegiate coursework
- Sponsorship by a certified athletic trainer (ATC)
- NATA membership (master’s and doctoral applicants must be members for at least one year)
- Must be a full-time student during the year of the award
- Must intend to pursue athletic training as his or her primary means of livelihood
- Only eligible to receive one award in each category
