Community Testing Program

Community Testing
The Exercise Science program also offers Community Testing services conducted by faculty and graduate students in the Robert Kertzer Exercise Physiology Laboratory. Some of the fee-for-assessment evaluations include blood lipid analysis, body composition analysis, submaximal and maximal graded exercise tests, and anaerobic threshold (lactic acid) testing. A complete list of services and prices are listed below. Student and group rates are also available.

Program
The Exercise Physiology Laboratory is offering a fee-for-service assessment of functional capacity, body composition, and general fitness. Tests and fees* are as follows:

  1. Maximal graded exercise test with gas collection - $150.00
    (Apparently healthy, less than or equal to 40 years of age (male),
    50 yrs (female), Physician approval required)
  2. Anaerobic threshold (lactic acid) test - $200.00
  3. Maximal graded exercise test with gas collection - $250.00
    (Physician present)
  4. Submaximal graded exercise test with gas collection - $100.00
    (85% of predicted heart rate maximum, Physician approval)
  5. Body composition analysis - $ 50.00 (Underwater weighing and skinfold measurements with
    interpretation and recommendations)
  6. Body composition analysis - $ 25.00
    (Bio-electrical impedance and skinfold measurements with inter- pretation and recommendations)
  7. Complete body composition analysis - (E & F) $ 60.00
  8. Fitness assessment - $ 20.00
    (Muscular strength, muscular endurance, and flexibility)
  9. Blood lipid analysis - $ 20.00
    (Total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, VLDL, Triglycerides, TC/HDL)

    * Group rates - by negotiation for any test protocol.
