Programs of Study
Undergraduate Program
This curriculum prepares individuals for career opportunities in health promotion programs in hospitals, industry, and communities. Exercise scientists work in physical activity programs of prevention, intervention, and rehabilitation.
Graduate Program
The Exercise Science Graduate Program strives to address this mission through coursework and research opportunities. The curriculum prepares specialists for exercise - centered health promotion efforts in clinical settings (i.e., hospitals), corporations, and commercial (public and private) facilities. Our graduates work in programs of prevention, intervention and rehabilitation. Through coursework and a required laboratory based thesis, students develop both the technical skills for assuming clinical roles in the health promotion industry and cultivate an appreciation for the contribution of physical activity in enhancing human health.
