Experiential Programming in K-12 settings Annotated bibliography

Shirilla (2007) lists empirical studies, papers, and presentations focusing on the use of experiential programming in K-12 settings. Due to the relative lack of rigorous empirical works found on this topic, other pertinent articles and papers were included. Citations were collected through EBSCOhost and ERIC database  searches using a variety of keywords. All cited references should be available through these channels.

 

It should be noted that a strong emphasis on quantitative research methods was employed for this project. Gass's Evidence-Based Practice Research Rubric that was used to evaluate these articles measures the strength of the reference in a variety of quantitative research standards. The rubric was designed specifically for this project and is attached in Appendix A.

 

The rubric scores for each article are my own subjective opinions after reading each article. I strongly encourage any reader to draw his/her own conclusions by reading the direct source. However, I do hope this bibliography is helpful to those looking for current and past research on this topic.
