Direct Entry Master's in Nursing Program
M.S. DEGREE REQUIREMENTS
The Direct Entry Master's in Nursing Program is a two-year, 73-credit, full-time course of study. Students are provisionally admitted to the M.S. program. Provision will be removed once the RN license is received. Students will be eligible to take the NCLEX-RN after completing three semesters of accelerated study, a total of 65 credits. Students are eligible to take the CNL (Clinical Nurse Leader) Certification Examination upon completion of the curriculum. The curriculum design begins in January and includes two summer sessions. The department of nursing subscribes to the practice that selected nursing courses may be offered via an online or hybrid online format.
Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL) track
The University of New Hampshire Department of Nursing is pleased to collaborate with the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) in the development of the Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL) track. As part of the CNL curriculum students will study master's level research in health promotion and illness management. Students will complete a clinical immersion experience of not less than 300 hours at a participating AACN CNL agency. Students will conclude their CNL master's preparation in a capstone project seminar.
