2008 American Occupational Therapy Association Conference

University of New Hampshire OTThe University of New Hampshire’s Department of Occupational Therapy was well represented at the 88th Annual Conference and Expo of the American Occupational Therapy Association held in Long Beach Ca.  The department had over 25 in attendance including faculty, graduate students and recent alumni.  The department had 16 individuals presenting scholarly work that included six research posters, two research panels, two workshops and one short course.  This year’s conference also saw the introduction of the 11th edition of Willard & Spackman’s Occupational Therapy edited by our own Elizabeth (Betty) Crepeau.  Betty was also awarded the American Occupational Therapy Service Commendation for her role in coordinating the recent Habits Conference.  Catherine McDonough a current graduate student represented UNH as the ACOTE Representative to the national AOTA organization.

 

UNH Faculty presenting at this years Conference included, Shelley Mulligan, Barbara Prudhmme White, Lou Ann Griswold, Douglas Simmons and Therese Willkomm.

 

UNH Graduate students presenting at this years conference included, Rachel Benenati, Kaitlin Kieras, Natalie Saccoccia, Christine Leonard and Corey Wood.

 

UNH Alumni presenting at this years conference included, Meghan Franklin, Shasta O’Connell, Alicia Golden, Jennifer Holland and Kate Fiore.
