Classroom to Career

Students who complete their academic coursework and fieldwork requirements are awarded the master of science in occupational therapy. Following graduation, students are eligible to sit for the certification examination administered by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT). Most states require a license to practice occupational therapy. Licensure requirements vary from state to state, but all require NBCOT certification.
